Sports at School

Balaji Public School has always believed sports to be a very integral part of of student's life, playing an as important part in their growth as studies do. Sports has always been a means through which a student learns the all so important values such as leadership, teamwork, discipline and perseverance. We at BPS do believe that every student needs sports in their life not just as a means of entertainment but also to maintain their physical fitness and emotional fitness. Moreover learning the importance of winning but at the same time learning to deal with loss gracefully are also some aspects of life which are taught in the early stages by sports.

Balaji Public School has always been known in the district as a sport hub of school boosting a large ground (one of the biggest in the district), which includes grounds for many sports and provides opportunities to students to test out their caliber in various sports. Students at BPS learn all kinds of sports but at the same time select a few to pursue further to attain mastery in it.

SPORTS PRESENT AT SCHOOL :

CRICKET

Balaji Public School hosts one of the biggest cricket grounds among all the schools in the district. A ground comprising of a cemented pitch for leather and tennis ball cricket along with many netted pitches for practice.

Students at School has always took part in various stages of district cricket tournaments and has been selected numerous times to represent on further stages.

2. VOLLEYBALL

Often considered to be one of the legacy sport in the history of BPS. Students of the school has been participating in volleyball since the beginning of the school for 28 years. School campus has total four volleyball courts, two of which are cemented and the other two are mud grounds.

School has been producing state and national level players for years now.

3. SKATING (SPEED)

As one of the pioneers at starting and encouraging skating as a sport at school level in Chhindwara district, school has come long way producing champions after champions in the sport. Boosting the largest skating rink in the whole of district, skating remains one of the identity sport of the school.

Balaji Public School has produced many sportsperson who has represented school at Division, State, National and International level.

4. ROLLBALL

A sport which was unknown to many but quickly gained statewide attention very quickly. A skate based sports played with a basketball has seen numerous occasions when the team of Balaji Public School has represented on the division level on its own.

Skaters from Balaji Public School has been continuously representing in the state and national levels of school games at this sport.

5. CHESS

Chess is often considered to be game which exercises our brain the most. Often considered to be a sophisticated game, chess has been symbol of IQ testing among many. Students at Balaji Public School has always been participating in the sport and has played various tournaments in all stages.

Chess sets are always provided by school to its players for practice inside the school.

6. ATHLETICS

As Balaji Public School is known to have one of the biggest ground among the school of the district, the school also hosts an expansive number of grounds for Athletics. Individual sports such as Running, Long jump, High jump, Discuss throw, Javelin throw, Relay race are some of the sports which school provides a stage for.

Every year, many students partake in number of athletic tournaments in various stages.

7. KHO - KHO

A sport which requires intricate maneuvers such as dodging, weaving, and sprinting, making it a thrilling spectacle for both players and spectators. A sport which has its roots attached to indian traditions. Students at Balaji Public School has always shown immense pleasure in learning of the sport and taking part in it.

A new generation of players are being getting ready for all the future tournaments.

8. KABADDI

Another sport which has its name written on the history of the country, Kabaddi tests a player's physicality, intelligence, grit and determination. A game that demands the best out of the toughest. We at BPS are determined to create the best of humans by harnessing these above mentioned qualities out of our students.

Kabaddi is one such sport where our students aspire to achieve greater success in the future.

9. FOOTBALL

Popularily known as the biggest sport in the world, Football is somewhat a new game in the sport area at Balaji Public School. Nonetheless the popularity of the sport has seen continuous growth in the school. Every year more and more players have started to participate in the game. Result of which is that recently the game was included in the Annual Sports Meet.

10. OTHER SPORTS

Apart from the above mentioned sports, various other sports such as Weight lifting, Pittu, Roller basketball, Rope Skipping, Tennis, Badminton, Judo, etc. are also included in the school curriculum. Students at BPS participate in many sports apart from the one listed above.

School has always motivates its students to improve their caliber in all types and kinds of sport.
